The inputs from your joystick I'd say are ok, I'd be looking at the ttl signals coming out of the A2D going back to the "McU", maybe it needs some percussive maintenance :)

Can you post a close-up pic of the board on the list?, if not stick it up on FB and tag me in it, I'd like to see it.
