hi,

yes, he was the greatest.

after seeing 2001 as a kid, i read every book authored by him in the library.

i really enjoyed how he described the hardware of outer space, and 
the way he injected technical stuff into his stories.

he could step very far outside the envelope of common thought, look 
back at us, then provide unusual commentary that wisdom only produces.

he's left us with a large amount of gifts to enjoy. enjoy a few.
