a single quad core should be enough,
and probably 4GB of RAM
the problem with graphics is the display card/s you would probably need at
least 2 high end card in SLI/Crossfire
you'll have to get either 2 Nvidia 9800 or even better 2 Nvidia 280, or if
you really swim in money - 3 of them
or if you prefer the alternative - get the new ATI/AMD 4870 and if which
cost about half or even less but loose only a bit in speed,
these also come in 2 or 3 card configuration.
or you can wait for the 4870X2 with 2 GPU's on each card - that should be
out by august, and still cost a lot less them the NV280 but run faster.

the only problem is that for both new card - the 4870 and 260/280 the
drivers for FSX are not mature yet
