hey Alan

today there are boards with 3 and even 4 PCI-E 16x slots that enable you to
hook up 6-8 monitors to the same computer, also you can find PCI-E 1x card
that you can use with boards with 2 PCI-E 16x slots.

also, if you want the easyest way just get a matrox "triple head to go"
http://www.matrox.com/graphics/en/gxm/products/th2go/digital/home.php
and use it with 1 display card
