I went last year but not going this year due to other commitments. It was freakin cool. Lots of big boy toys priced into the millions. Some of the sims there were just incredible. IIRC, the Symvionics F-16 was a half dome with full working analog instruments, full working DED, RWR, MFDs...the entire works. I got to fly it briefly and it was kick ass.

If you want to fly some of the bigger sims, you need to know someone as they don't just let any joe blow fly them. Some of the smaller stuff you can get into as they aren't as picky who sits in their stuff. One thing that helps though...if you have a flight suit, wear it. Many of the vendors will assume you are in the military and just pull you into their sim. Try to put a name tag on and a patch or two but don't go overboard and DON'T put any rank insignias on the suit unless you are entitled to wear them.

I'll be going to the IITSEC show down in Orlando week after next, so I
thought I'd see if any of you guys were going to be down there, or if
any of you had gone in the past, what I should check out at the show. It
will be my first time going to a trade show ever, so I'm not sure what
sorts of cool things should be there.
