[simpits-tech] Problem update & shop news...

Talk with Mike Williams over at Viperpit.org. He just got a 30 watt I think
and is doing some damn fine work. We just finished the final touches on the
ICP he and I developed and I got a chance to play with one the other day and
we did a pretty good job if I do say so.

Mike is lasering all the panels for the F-16 and he's got some things down
pat. Might be good to pick his brain on do's and don't's with the new
laser.

Wish I had one of those.

Jay

It can be, but it won't give you "realistic" results like doing the
cut/paint/engrave process will. In the days before laser engraving became
practical, the panels were silk-screened in a multi-pass process.
Mechanical engraving may not give you the result you like either. I'd
strongly suggest talking to your laser folks about doing the engraving
work for you.
