[simpits-tech] P51 Crashes (Sad) (Hoovers 'Ole Yeller)

I heard on a forum that John Bagley said in a local news interview that he 
was planning to rebuild her.  I hope he can.

Looking at the wreckage, though, it's amazing he walked away, since the 
plane was pretty much ripped apart.

I always feel queazy when I hear a vintage warbird's gone down - last time 
it was that B-17 that suffered a main landing gear failure, I think it was 
in Texas.

I gotta admit, when I read it was a P-51D, I was a little bit relieved... I 
mean, I love the mustang, but lord knows there are more of them out there 
flying than there are P-47s or Thunderbolts or Hellcats, combined. Now, if 
it had turned out to be a Corsair, I'd be sobbing in my beer right about 
now.
