Truth be told it won't be quite as simple as it seems - at least not if I want to do it right.

See the Merc (or at least all the capsules after Shepards) had a little mirror at the bottom edge of the window, to give a greater field of view... If I decide to encompass that, I'll actually have to build a quite sophisticated display setup.

The other trick is the periscope, but the main problem there is just finding a monitor the right size.
