Be prepared to spend some time reading this, but I'm telling you right now it's worth every second.

Anyone who's been exposed to the internet for more than an hour or so has most likely heard the rocket car story. Guy straps a JATO rocket to a car, flies it into a mountainside.

Clearly it's an urban legend, and I always figured someone just made it up.

Well, as it turns out... it has roots in reality (or at least what I think is reality - this IS the internet, so this guy may just be a very, very good bullshitter).
