The iranian Air Force has only a small number of the original 77 F-14A's they purchaced. Of these they have perhaps 10 flyable they have about 34 aircraft they have used as a parts store to service those aircraft. In addition they have done an incrediable amount of additional work to the airframes see the article at http://www.strategypage.com/htmw/htairfo/articles/20060119.aspx for more information on this.
