With the response shown, I went ahead with an order for the two integrated 
circuits
for the SimCom. I can start to prototype the unit to give me a version I 
can make
modifications for different headsets.
The original uses a stereo output, meaning military headsets will have to 
be rewired
for the stereo effect. Is this acceptable?
I am trying to locate a source for the 2ohm to 600ohm transformers I will need
for the M-87/AIC style microphones, but this should not be too hard.
As for the 400Hz buzz, that can be done, but newer aircraft are using audio
to digital conversion to eliminate this, so you will be dated! I have heard 
this while
monitoring the local airport, it is caused by poor wiring practice ending 
in ground
loops. Even Boeing is at fault by trying to harness everything together.
