[simpits-tech] F16 cockpit panels

Thanks, Marv.
Most of the panels are 3-piece units. The top layer is .020" bright white
plastic with a matte black finish. The lettering is engraved to a depth of
.003" to .005" and really lets the backlighting transfer through. The middle
layer is 3/16" clear acrylic. And the bottom is 1/16" black plastic for the
backing plate. The backing plate is cut out where all the lettering is to
allow backlighting and also around where the switches and pots go so that
the mounting nuts are recessed into the panel and the panel can be flush
mounted to the console.

Allen,

The artwork looks stunning!

Are these one-piece plastic, or is that a metal backing plate on the back?

If it is metal, can you counterbore the back to hide the nuts for the
switches and pots?

I love the subtle detail with rounding the panel edges. Great work!

Marv
