When I talked to Photo-Etch a couple of years ago, $500 was the minimum
price. Photo-Etch is one of the vendors used to build real edge-lit
plates for military contractors. Don't expect price breaks from these
guys. They strictly make to order, not to stock. The product must go
through all kinds of MILSPEC quality control checks for each step in the
manufacturing process.

It boils down to this - if you want "gamey" looking plates, buy from AGT.
They're cheap and they do the job. If you want better quality, buy the
Nova panels from Peter Cos. If you want
hard-to-tell-the-difference-from-photo-etched, buy the Elite line of
plates from Peter Cos.

And yes, I'm a satisfied customer. He builds high quality panels and I
trust him enough to send my irreplaceable HUD edge-lit face plate off to
him for reconstruction.
