Watch for an announcement from Bricklayer or Dave
, (SSC, LVDT),the cost will be whatever you have to spend to get it done yourself, the drawings will be released to the community, I'll
leave it to Craig or Dave for further information.

Hehe, shocked right out of my project. Gawd, I asked for it! But now you're talking about another development thread using different technology and materials. Okay, thanks, I needed to know, and I guess it's not in my picture, no matter which way you go. I can do Hall effect too, I was just hoping for proven force sensitive technology. Sounds like your real customer is the USAF. Bummer. I hate to say it, but you can take me off your list. Sorry, dude.

Okay, here is the sticker shock.
Quantity 12 pricing is approximately $2500.00 each.
Realistically, I am looking at some sort of lower end model for the sim crowd. It won't use LVDTs, but probably some other technology like Hall Effect and the stick movement will probably be a little more exaggerated than the 0.150" the current base has to accept that type of sensor. The base will probably need to be a composite material rather than solid aluminum.

Great news that the stick base is so good. Can you at least give us an idea of the price range +/- a couple hundred and a realistic idea as to when? "We've already heard going to be expensive." Not to ding ya, Marv, I'm really going to be happy with the base, but c'mon, you've had the sucker up to final spec for over six months now. I'm getting close to construction on my (I swear) last cockpit attempt, and to be perfectly frank, with the possibility of this base, the pit is going to be built around it. I'm trying to figure out my options....

The side stick base was an absolute hit at the show last week. Lockheed and L3 were all over it. Lockheed sent 6 real F-16 pilots to test it out and all left with two thumbs up. The bad news is pricing is going to be really expensive. My cost is very high to make these.
