Do you mean removing the pots motors and placing them in a custom housing for a control stick? I didn't do that but I did modify my FX stick quite a bit.
Now I need to upgrade to a USB stick to free up a pot wired to the gameport so that I can use the pot for the second throttle. The FX is also very old and lacks a lot of force feedback forces of the newer sticks.

Hi Folks,

Had anyone looked at or considered ripping apart a force feedback
joystick in order to get force feedback on the pit controls?

I have just ripped apart an old Logitech wingman force, and it looks
like it might not be too hard.

Anyone tried it?
