[simpits-tech] Cautionary Tale: Viper-Pits

These guys build stuff that is way better that viper-pit and they treat
people right.  No, I don't work for them nor do I make any money on what
they sell.  Yes, I am part of the beta testing and parts finding for them so
I am biased.  Why do I care?  Because I think their stuff is simply the
best.  Well made, very well designed and thought out.  These guys build
stuff like this for a living.  I hate sounding like a commercial, so I do
apologize if this is taboo for the list.  But, I haven't read anything bad
about them and if you can do that in this demanding small market, you must
be doing something right.

 

I just got there latest release of the CCD (cockpit control device) and
their MFD's.  The thing is pretty much plug and play for Falcon fans.  And,
if you like, the thing is completely programmable with a language similar to
"C".  James did a very nice and, IMHO FWIW, an honest objective review of
the CCD/MFD over at viperpits.org.   I always like to see what an unbiased
viper builder thinks of their stuff.

Sure, Gene.  Just let me wait 24 hours to see if  maturity can provide a
better perspective.  Right now I'm rather thoroughly p*ssed at this er,
individual.  It wasn't so much what he said, but what he didn't. (Common
words like "sorry", "thank you" and of course, "we appreciate your
business.")
