[simpits-tech] Desktop Simulators. Gone?!

Hi All,

I had this EXACT problem last year with Paul - this is what happened :
I found some items he had for sale for F-111s and prior to ordering I
emailed to ask if these items were still available and whether he had a
couple of other items I desperately needed but weren't on his catalogue, he
wrote back and said yes in both cases, he had everything I needed - I
thought that was great so I went ahead and sent him my shopping list and
paid for them up front (about $550.00). About a month later I asked for an
update and received no answer, another month later I tried again, he told
me that Australian customs had returned the package to him and parts were
broken and missing. He was very apologetic and said everything would be
replaced. I contacted Aust. Customs and they had no record of this and also
said that's not the way they work ! After 6 weeks I tried to contact him
again, no reply. I kept up the requests for updates for another 6 weeks,
still nothing. It took a letter to this list advising others that I thought
we had an unscrupulous dealer amongst us to get action from him. Although I
didn't use names, he must have guessed it was him I referred to and I got
instant action !!! I received all my goods and he even came good with
other parts at no extra cost to me. I was impressed and apologized for
misjudging him. I thought he was just going through a bad patch at the time
- but it appears nothing has changed.
Since then I've tried to contact him for further purchases but received no
replies.

If I had a business like that with the potential it has for people like us
- I'd be treating my customers very well indeed !!! And I would be keeping
contact with them even if things were tough.
After hearing the latest complaints, I've decided I won't be dealing with
him any more. It means I won't be able to get parts I desperately need but
... who needs that sort of s**t !!!

Cheers
Rod
