You need pretty ruffled white curtains on those windows and then add a thick
black mat on the inside to lay over that.

That way your neighbors will see beautiful white curtains from the outside
and you'll have no ambient light to worry about inside.

If you really want to get on the good side, put a pretty flower box on the
outside of the window.  Plastic flowers never need water and always look
fresh.  You will be the poster child of home owners.  Later, you can add
that 40 cm high miniature white picket fence around the property, a few lawn
jockeys, spinning daisies, and a calico cat asleep on the front door step.

Occasionally sit on the front step , sip lemonade, and blow soap bubbles on
sunny days.
