Roy, Thanks.  I'm using hardboard for my main instrument panel mask and it has turned out very nice.  MDF support plate behind the hardboard for monitor mounting, etc.

I'll try the soaked hardboard in a test...sounds like this will work nicely.

Remember to only soak the fuzzy side.

tip: if wanting to bend large pieces of hardboard as for a skin etc, lay
the board over something for a day or two and it will take up a nice curve
all on its own - leaving you half way there.

I'll bring my digital camera home from work tomorrow and get some pics of
my helopit which uses the bendy mdf.
