I dunno, paintball might be a bit rapid-fire for a tank ;) I was thinking 
about ping-pong balls because it would be relatively easy to set up a breach 
loading mechanism with them. You gotta admit it would be really cool 
slamming shells into the breach, locking it down and letting one go :)

I already said that! ;)

An electronic blowback, like one of the various Spyders, would work
perfectly. Just tap into the trigger switch and wire that into a
joystick that controls the turret and barrel. Add a 2000 round hopper on
top and it's good to go.
