[simpits-tech] Throttle / Joystick Pots

Ed,
That what I did to mine a few years back with no
problem. The wires to the pot for the left throttle
have been extended and run to my home made rudder
pedals.
Soon after I bought the unit the progamable buttons
stopped working corectly(before I tore the unit apart,
thank you very much) so all buttons go to the Hagstrom
KE72.
I also have replaced the pots. All in all, I think the
Suncom SFS is crappy, but it works for my current
configuration.

I just decided that I want to strip my Suncom SFS out
of it's case to
reduce the space it takes up in the side console. The
question is: Is
there a limit in the length for the leads to the pots?
I am wanting to
put in a quick disconnect and lengthen the leads by
about 18 to 24
inches. I am also debating weather or not to keep the
original SFS
programmable configuration or junk it and run it all
through a Hagstrom
encoder.
