On the tight fit inside the TEWS display box - do you have space behind 
the panel to project your image onto the face ala the Sandel EHSI for 
general aviation? There's a review that explains what I'm talking about at:

You could even periscope the image if you had to - generate it over 
there, and get it to the display head with mirrors.

Sandel's web site is at http://www.sandel.com , but it's more concerned 
with what it shows than how  - the review at avweb is better.

Given the cost of appropriately sized LCD displays that fit F-16 MFDs, 
this is one avenue I'm looking at.
