I just persuaded the boss to buy me a USB pen drive. This is a 512MB
device which needs no drivers (for w2k or XP) and just appears as a disk
drive in windows explorer. Its very small, requires no batteries or power
supply, boasts a 10 year memory retention and can be used over and over
again.

It rocks. Transfer speeds are pretty damned good, and 500MB is a very
usable size for taking home the latest x-plane release etc etc.

The price of these toys has come down a lot over the last few months, this
one cost 100 UKP and compared to the alternatives, it damned cheap!

Just thought I'd share - this is a very cost-effective tool.
