I'll have to check the drivers when I get the board. I know it's not NVidia,
though.

Remember, I'm the original Cheap Bastard ;) This thing is going to take some
serious abuse so I'm using the cheapest parts I can get away with. The LCD
I'm looking at is intended for playing widescreen DVDs in cars, so I doubt
it has the L/P switch. Would make life easy, though.

VIA Epia 800 mhz with a pair of bootable IDE CF adapters and a DC-DC power
supply. I haven't bought any hardware yet so I don't know how it works, but
since I won't be putting a huge load on it I don't see any problems. Chances
are it'll be faster than my VAIO laptop (K6-2 550) by a significant margin,
though. This machine will be very dedicated with only 2 functions, playing
MP3s and navigation. It may eventually be used for data logging and
instrumentation, but that's down the road a bit. Have to wait for the bike
it's going on to be a certain age so it doesn't need a tamperproof odometer.
I decided to build it into the bike, too. There's a ton of room under the
tail where the passenger seat used to be so I can mount it to a stainless
plate (soon to be magnesium, if I can find any) with Lords mounts and run
the video, audio, and keyboard cables along the frame and to the dash.

The only difference in 40 and 140 is the sirens and flashing lights
behind you.
