Roger B. Chaffee was from Grand Rapids, same as me, so he has a street named 
after him. I cross it on the way to work, and salute each time. He's part of 
the reason (ok, a BIG part of the reason) we have an Apollo boilerplate in 
the city as well. Too bad so few even know who Roger Chaffee even is...

On January 27th, 1967 Roger Chaffee, Virgil Grissom and Ed White lost
their lives in a fire aboard Apollo I.  May their sacrifice never be
forgotten.
