Not only that, but if you head to Avsim there is a pretty good selection of 
addons (though an unfortunate number are just repaints for commercial 
addons, bleh). Theres a program out there called Terrascene2, which allows 
you to generate scenery for just about any area on the globe. It takes the 
local land data and a bunch of preset textures, and actually generates the 
land, placing roads where there should be roads, rivers and streams where 
they should be, farmland is farmland, etc etc etc. Very nice deal. 
Especially with little airports like where I fly, certian roads work very 
well for figuring out the legs of your approach, and having them in the game 
is very useful.
