I read on their site you can use on-off switches for the Xkeys if you use a
diode on
the switch, has anyone had experience with both the Xkeys and the Hangstrom?
Are there differences that are not evident between the two.

Phidgets may be something I am interested in later down the line when doing
enhancements to my pit, by then I can dedicate more time to learning such
divices instead of building componants.

If you only need momentary switches, an even cheaper way is to butcher an
old keyboard controller.
