Roy,

The only bit of advice is to dig out the wiring manual/diagrams before
touching anything.  I'd expect it will not be as simple as removing the
PDU and powering the individual busbar(s), as it may be necessary to tie
some of the busbars together.

Have you tried isolating the systems you don't want powered up by
pulling the relevant circuit breakers?  

Re the inverters, just remove the connectors, or pull the circuit
breakers.

Anyone out there knowledgable about aircraft electrical power systems?

I'm trying to unravel the power system on this jetstream 41 and as I see
it:-

1. There are 12 seperate busbars.
2. There is a Power Distribution Unit which connects the various busbars
together depending on power and/or switch conditions.

so...

If I remove the PDU, I should end up with 12 seperate (manageable) power
busbars.

Anyone?
