Well, if it helps any, this mic works perfectly fine just attaching it to a
standard 1/8" mono plug. What I did is take the 1/8" mono plug and cable,
and put on some alligator clips, which I then attached to the mic wires on
the headset. Plug it in and it works great. This leads me to believe its
just like any other computer mic, and should be ok. I guess I'll know soon
enough...

That realy depends on the mic in question,
IIRC some mics produces "waves" on both positive and ground leeds and if
this is the case it is not doable - the best ay to check it is t use a
osiliscope, to see if the "ground wire" is stable when speaking....
