Marc,
Stay on his back - he'll get back to you eventually. It's very annoying 
when someone owes you, esp. if you've paid up front for it.
If it were my business I would be more sensitive to my customers needs. 
Maybe he has someone else sort his email and they have a different 
prioritizing system.
I had a similar problem but in the end it worked out to my advantage.
