If he skins it with glass on both sides, say a layer of 5 oz., then
another at 45 degrees, it'll be stronger than 1/2" marine plywood if I
remember right. Well, that assumes no voids and perfect resin content,
but it'll definately be strong enough.

I tried a few experiments with those blue paper shop towels and
polyester resin. Works suprisingly well for skinning foam, but doesn't
have a ton of shear strength.
