If you don't have a viewer already, you can download the Rhino demo 
from http://www.rhino3d.com - it's free.  All you would need to do 
then is choose file / import and select your .DXF file.

And who knows - you might find Rhino fun all by itself.  3D modeling 
can get very, very addictive.
