Hi, together.

If you stopped by my homepage lately, you will have found the story of 
the report about my cockpit in one of Austria's daily newspapers.
first I thought, "Ok, it's a nice report, and some people who know me, 
will read it". that's was what i thought...

today, I got a mail from the reporter who did the story, for those who 
speak german, here's the original mail:

ich hätte da ein angebot für dich.
das bundesministerium für landesverteidigung möchte dich einen tag lang
einladen, in zeltweg einen flusimulator zu testen, du könntest mit piloten
und anderen wichtigen heeresmenschen plaudern und würdest zu allem auch noch
von einem hubschrauber nach zeltweg und wieder retour nach graz geflogen.
na, was sagst?
sag mir einfach kurz mal bescheid, ob dich das grundsätzlich interessieren
würde und ob du in den nächsten wochen zeit hast, denn das ganze muss ja
auch geplant werden.
das ministerium würde mich auch einladen, mitzufliegen und eine reportage zu
machen. da bin ich mir aber noch nicht sicher, ob ich das machen werde.
also, lass mal ne mail rüberwachsen.

for the big group of non-german speakers, here's a short translation:

Austrian DOD invites me to visit Zeltweg AFB for one day, testing the 
Saab Draken simulator, Austria's pilots are trained on. During the day I 
will have the possibility to talk to some of the pilots and personell.
They will even do the transfer to the AFB by helicopter - oh my ;)).

I never thought, that I would ever get the chance for such activity here 
in Austria. Especially, because the report could only be read in some 
regions of Styria, one of Austria lands. Luckily, Zeltweg AFB is located 
in just this region *g*.

So, all the media presence during the last month at least worked out 
something, although there were times I really asked myself, if it was 
worth it.

NEWSFLASH: I just finished a phone call with a man of the DOD, the event 
will be on September, 23rd, 2002! if the weather is ok, transfer will be 
done by heli *yeah*.

ok, this is it, I just _had_ to tell someone.. (except all other 40 
mails I just sent *g*).
