Well Bondo has been a solution to some problems certainly not all. Take the
problem of the glare shield for example. We obtain a single side of the
glare shield this presents us with what it should look like. How might we go
about creating a mirror image. Make a mold of the one we have you say, that
is a great idea should we wish to make another one of the one we have. We
need to make a left glove when we have a right hand glove however. The
solution you see was a compromise from the solution I came up with and
Gene's wallet.

My original plan was to create a form and mold the plastic within the form
creating all of the ribs etc that appear on the surface of the original.
What we ended up with was just a compromise. An adventure in sideways
thinking and a great story of the day we heat molded acrylics in place with
a very large torch.

I am certain that you will find yourself having an adventure or two unlike
any you imagined. The people you meet along the way will surprise you and
the looks you are going to receive from folks when you tell them you have a
fighter jet in the garage will leave you beaming with pride. Most of them
will shake their heads in wonderment, asking themselves why.

Many people have an old car or a hot rod they work on ceaselessly. You will
have a fighter aircraft one which when finished you may fly over and over
again and new fuel it with anything more than a faster processor. Walk away
when you crash or get <gasp> shot down. you will be able to walk down the
street with your head held a bit higher than the crowd as you will know that
not only are you a fighter pilot but a crewchief as well. Personally I think
the crewchief is the real hero.

Keep 'em flying
