[simpits-tech] F 16 rudder peddles

Yes, I've been salivating over those for a while.  If they're half as nice
as they look, they're worth every penny.

For me, half the fun is the "dumpster diving" and jury-rigging.  I love to
kludge together junk and end up with(sometimes) a high performance device.
Trying to do it cheap forces me to understand the technology very well.
Just having to know the performance specs. vs. suppliers' cost isn't as
satisfying as being able to spot clever ways to modify cheap and/or waste
mass produced products that can be used to achieve the same performance.
I've probably spent over $1,200 on tools, eBay stuff(LVDT's, amps,
oscilloscope...) just for the LVDT project.  And if I counted up the time
I've spent tinkering(in terms of salary)...I could have the down-payment for
a real plane.

I think if I was to start a business, it'd be a high tech junkyard. :-)
