[simpits-tech] 3x Fresnel lens

The very idea that they are listing this thing as a 3X or 6X makes my head
hurt. Would one of you buy one of the damn things and figure it out. Fresnel
lenses have been a very common topic around here for a long time how many of
you have used them to date?

Magnification lenses are not quite the way you need to be thinking this
through. Pick up an Edmonds Scientific catalog and get a basic run down on
optics at least a refresher on the subject. Are you going to project the
image or hang the fresnel lens in front of a monitor? Two different
problems, two different solutions one of which has next to nothing to do
with magnification. I will be more than happy to assist you in trying to
understand fresnel lenses.

BTW The sales droid is lying through his hat about one of them being harder
to make than the other, The material maybe thicker but it really isn't any
harder for them to make. Do a search for Fresnel on the net and there is a
prim available on the subject someplace I have seen it. Do your homework on
this subject optics is one of the easiest of the physical sciences
