Since all of the instruments are old gauges from the 1950's, i'm looking for info or articles about converting normal instruments into computer driven ones. I would like to start with the altitude Gauge. it has readings for 10.000, 1000 and 100's feet. the inside has some kind of barometric element. Anyone know how to convert it? Can i use an USB connection? do i use some kind of electric motor?

The easiest solution seems to be using phidgets (www.phidgets.com) which
will drive RC servo's.
