The view size is not really the issue> It's the fact that the room I am
in is pretty small and if I want to enclose the pit I have to somehow
get the view over the roof and the ceiling is just not big enough. So
figured the monitor perhaps in trade a extra wide monitor might work
well. 
The last one I had was this
