2 USB keyboards does work, as does 1 USB and 1 =93standard=94 (PS2). I =
know
=96 it=92s how I managed to get Windows ME working, and later XP after =
some
kind soul screwed it up (a hacker).=20
=20
I once used a =93Black Box=94 component to do remote keyboard, mouse and
video. I can=92t find it on their web site just yet, but then again, I
don=92t have the time to seriously look. Maybe over Thanksgiving. It is =
a
splitter, with an RJ45 for standard Cat5 cable. At one point I had about
3 monitors, keyboards and the like connected for a Conference Room
application. I was laid off from that job, and didn=92t keep any records
of what I purchased for the job. Here was the arrangement:
=20
PC (in server room) ----> Splitter/Remote unit ---> Shared
keyboard, mouse and video with 7 or 8 other PC=92s
=20
Remote end: RJ45 Receiver ---> Splitter ---> Desktop
monitor; included Logitech Remote keyboard and mouse (not USB)
=20
Ceiling mounted projector
=20
I connected a PS2 mouse and keyboard to the remote splitter
for =93just in case=94 applications. The =93just in case=94 stuff got =
used most
often, mainly due to problems with the Logitech stuff that we (read =
=93I=94)
never got around to fixing before I was canned.=20
=20
Hope this helps and wasn=92t too confusing! If you need any =
clarification,
let me know and I=92ll do some more research and a drawing. (Just give =
me
a couple of days to reply =96 I=92m busy getting ready for a Crafts Show =
and
am way behind on production!)
=20
/Ian
