Hi Mathew,

The easiest way to find your joystick is to to into settings->controls
and map a button to something you can recognise using the GUI interface.

Then exit flight sim and look for the entry in the flight sim that looks
similar to:

[JOYSTICK_MAIN {6F1D2B70-D5A0-11CF-BFC7-444553540000}]

For example mine looks like this:

[JOYSTICK_MAIN {6F1D2B70-D5A0-11CF-BFC7-444553540000}]
LOCKED=1
AXIS_EVENT_01=AXIS_ELEVATOR_SET
AXIS_SCALE_01=64
AXIS_NULL_01=36
AXIS_EVENT_02=AXIS_THROTTLE1_SET
AXIS_SCALE_02=64
AXIS_NULL_02=0
BUTTON_DOWN_EVENT_10=COM_RADIO_WHOLE_INC
BUTTON_DOWN_EVENT_11=COM_RADIO_FRACT_INC
BUTTON_DOWN_EVENT_12=COM_RADIO_WHOLE_DEC
BUTTON_DOWN_EVENT_13=COM_RADIO_FRACT_DEC

The other problem you may find is that there does not seem to be a way
to change the active radio instead of the standby.

You can get around this by editing the aircraft.cfg file for the craft
you are using and telling FS it only has one radio.

Let me know if you want more details on how to do this.

Cheers,
Stuart.

Subject: [simpits-tech] EPIC "D" with FS2K2

Hi EPIC user,

I just discovered this list and hope that there is anyone who can help
me.

I have an EPIC "D" card working together with FS2K. This works fine but
I want to switch to FS2K2. The only problem I have is how to control NAV
frequencies, transponder and so on. In FS2K this was no problem by
adding Button_Down_Events to the fs2000.cfg file, for example:

[JOYSTICK_00]
LOCKED=1
TYPE=100
AXIS_FLAGS=79
AXIS_EVENT_00=AXIS_AILERONS_SET
AXIS_SCALE_00=64
AXIS_NULL_00=36
AXIS_EVENT_01=AXIS_ELEVATOR_SET
AXIS_SCALE_01=64
AXIS_NULL_01=36
AXIS_EVENT_02=AXIS_THROTTLE_SET
AXIS_SCALE_02=127
AXIS_NULL_02=1
AXIS_EVENT_03=AXIS_RUDDER_SET
AXIS_SCALE_03=64
AXIS_NULL_03=36
BUTTON_DOWN_EVENT_04=NAV1_RADIO_FRACT_DEC
BUTTON_DOWN_EVENT_05=NAV1_RADIO_FRACT_INC
BUTTON_DOWN_EVENT_06=NAV1_RADIO_WHOLE_DEC
BUTTON_DOWN_EVENT_07=NAV1_RADIO_WHOLE_INC
BUTTON_DOWN_EVENT_08=NAV2_RADIO_FRACT_DEC
BUTTON_DOWN_EVENT_09=NAV2_RADIO_FRACT_INC
BUTTON_DOWN_EVENT_10=NAV2_RADIO_WHOLE_DEC
BUTTON_DOWN_EVENT_11=NAV2_RADIO_WHOLE_INC

Because the [JOYSTICK_nn] sections do not exist in the fs2002.cfg file I
am not sure how to do this in FS2K2. Does anyone has experiences with
that and can help me?

Thanks in advance,
Matthias
