The base is 3/4" ply

The ribs are 1/2" ply

The skin is regular hardboard - about 4mm thick.


Provided you keep the bends fairly simple, this is a good material for the
job. You _can_ dampen it for more complex bends but I'm not overly keen on
doing that.
