I looked into this a few months ago. Short answer: Not possible.
Long answer: Basically all laptop displays are proprietary, so developing
the necessary circuitry to drive them properly would be so costly and time
consuming it wouldn't be worth it.
One suggestion I heard but never fully checked out was the idea of getting
some Playstation screens. In case you didn't know already, Sony makes some
portable screens for the playstation, with speakers attached, so you can
play your playstation anywhere, without a TV. Last I saw they were about
$130, and MAY be possible to use like this, I'm not sure. I've never had one
to play around with.
