Hey Matt
             Yes the data can be either generated by you or downloaded from 
real world weather. The accuracy of the returns is dependent upon the density 
of the metar stations and is based on precipitation not cloud cover. The 
other great feature is lightning detection and that is drawn from FS 
generated strikes. Other features are moving map, TCAS and ground proximity. 
It is available as a free trial (time limited) also.
