Paul,
The issue you have is quite unique. Here is a couple of solutions.=20
    1. The master PC could have an Operating System (OS) of Win 2000. =
Which supports two Network interface cards (NICs).
    2. Have a hub that supports both Coax and Twisted pair (phone like =
cable).
    3. Save your pennies for a second twisted pair NIC and purchase a =
four port hub or switch.

I would reccomend the third choice as the speed and expandability is =
greater than previous listed.

  Subject: [simpits-tech] net working pc's

  Hi all

As usual being driven by poverty and ignorance leads to some pretty =
odd solutions to problems.
  Heres my problem=20
  I have a PC I will call master and 2 PC's slave 1 and slave 2
Master and slave 1 are networked with some old ISA cards using Coax t =
connectors and terminators , this works just ! ( wrong coax cable type =
but it works )
Slave 2 that I want on this network has the new 'telephone style ' =
socket for it's network connector.
How can they be connected ? I do have a PCI network card this this =
telephone style connector iF I put that in the master and use a crossed =
cable will all the pc's appear on the same network ?
Yes I know a hub and 2 PCI new style cards and cables would be easier =
but I have to work with what I have at present.=20
  regards paul
