FYI, to do it "right", you should have no more than 150ms (that's
milliseconds) delay between control input and observable change in both
the avionics and the flight model.  That 150ms reaction time must occur
with in reaction time of the real thing.  

For instance, say you begin a roll manouver(Sp).  The AI in the real
aircraft will begin to show a change within 500ms of your commanded
change.  Therefore your simulated AI _must_ begin to show a change within
750ms of your command input.  Nasty, eh? :)
