about backlighting :

How like is your  LED matrix on the landing panel (or another one..)
to let me see how many led you are using and where your put leds on it. ?

What is technical datas of your Leds, ('cause mine are little bit poor in
lighting efficient)

What is the best distance between panel and led matrix ?
