Hi gang,

Ive made a little funny thing, but remember that im not that graphical
literal.....

Get this file

www.clearsky.dk/delphi/simpitlogon.zip

and follow these instructions after unzipping it.....

********** WARNING ********* WARNING ********** WARNING **********

this stunt is NOT for kids and people with a heart condition....

this is only tested on an english version of windows 2000 with
servicepack 2

if it works on other systems - i don't know, but if you have the stumag
to try it, i would love to here the result....

********** RED ALERT ********* RED ALERT ********** RED ALERT **********

if something goes wrong, you will not be able to boot the machine, BSOD
and other nastiness will occur, so have the install cd at hand, and be
prepared to repair the installation, you should have an "emergency
repair disk" ready (use ntbackup to create this)

********** EJECT ********** EJECT ********** EJECT ********** EJECT
********

This is on your risk, i can not take any responsibility what so ever if
things goes wrong

Copy the files simpitgina.dll and simpits1.exe to the winnt\system32

Alter the boot.ini:
you should have an entry similar to this:

multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINNT="Microsoft Windows 2000
Professional" /fastdetect

add "/kernel=simpits1.exe"

so it will look like this :

multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINNT="Microsoft Windows 2000
Professional" /fastdetect /kernel=simpits1.exe

then run SimpitLogon.reg

what it does is telling windows to run the simpitsgina.dll as security
manager instead of msgina.dll

you can confirm this by using regedit and navigate to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon
and you should see an entry called ginadll.

now reboot you system and enjoy.....
