I got some more info:

On some panels you'll find in small lettering the text : NVG=20
Which stands for Night Vision Goggles. The 'normal' panels white light =
would
blind the goggles.

These panels have green glass insert (were the bulbs go). I was being =
smart
:) and wanted a white panel so I took out the green inserts, only to =
find
the text still green when the lighting was turned on. So there is also =
a
patch of green paint under the white layer where the text labels are
situated. To be clear: there is not a green layer of paint, the paint =
is
only applied directly under the text.

Both. Older panel are type IV and newer often type V.

Engraved? Never seen that on a panel.
