Ahhhh. i See -  this works in a slightly other manner than i
expected.... first you ask to read row 1 read the states and then row 2,
read the states ect. not all rows at once.....

but isn't the diods turned the wrong way on the schematics? i mean if
"Mod 1 row X" is input 5v and "D0-D7" outputs, then i think the diods is
turned the wrong, because it is blocking the signal even if the switch
is closed....

Why aren't they using this in a keyboard i wonder - no more dead keys...
or is this ancient history
