Damn right ;-)

Wow, what units did he fly with (you never know, if he flew A-4f's he *may*
have flown one of the kiwi birds, in a former life, 2 or three saw USN
service in Vietnam)

I also had a trump card, I know a fellow collector who lives in Singapore,
>who has tones of A-4 Spares...so I just brought home extra suit cases of A-4
>cockpit parts that were standard parts.

<envy> ........ I have hit a heap of dead ends here in NZ, since our A-4's
are up for sale :( Got some real sad stories like "oh there used to be
heaps of those around, but we chucked them all out.." So far all I have is
a real gear handle :(

I'm building a Kiwi A-4k Post "Kahu". Kahu was the upgrade program in the
mid eighties which brought them up to a higher avionics spec than the
F-16c. Very cool setup it is too :)

A couple of weeks ago I scored a copy of "SKYAVINTRO" which is the RNZAF
training manual for the avionics techs, it is full of really good info on
the DU/UFC/HUD etc. Plus I got to sit in the cockpit of one of the
operational A-4's and take photos and measurements.

Sean.

p.s. F-111's are pretty damn cool too, so don't let the kids with their
little F-16's kick ya around :)
